General practitioners (GP)
A General Practitioner or GP is a medical practitioner who gives primary care and specialises in family medicine. A GP treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education. GPs have particular skills in treating people with multiple health issues.
If your GP sees you out of hospital
On the Comprehensive and Classic options, Remedi pays for GP consultations from your available Insured Out-of-Hospital benefit, subject to the limit and overall annual limit.
On the Standard Option GP consultations are unlimited when member uses their chosen GP that forms part of the Remedi Standard Option network general practitioners.
