MRI and CT scans
MRI and CT scans are covered differently depending on the type of option you choose.
On the Comprehensive and Classic option (in-and out-of-hospital)
We cover in-and out-of-hospital MRI and CT scans on the Comprehensive and Classic option up to 100% of the Scheme Rate. You must be referred by a specialist. This is subject to the overall annual limit.
Please note only MRI and CT scan codes will fund subject to the overall annual limit. Consumables (disposable medical items) will be funded from the Insured Out of Hospital Benefit.
On the Standard option (in-hospital)
We cover in-hospital MRI and CT scans on the Standard option up to 100% of the Scheme Rate. You must be referred by a specialist. This is subject to the overall annual limit.
On the Standard option (out-of-hospital)
You have no benefit for MRI and CT scans.
